Vocabulary
A part of each nine weeks will be used to cover SAT vocabulary. Each first day of the week (Monday or Tuesday), we will add 5 words totaling eventually 25 words per nine weeks. After the 25 words are established, we will test over the words.
For each word, you will receive:
- definition
- derivatives
- synonyms, antonyms
- a sample sentence
Ways to study vocabulary:
- flash cards
- word a day app for your phone
- each day review the 5 words by recitation and writing,
making sure each week to add the new words of the week
- use the words in your every day vocabulary, writing, etc.
*Waiting until the last minute to "cram" will only ensure that you have memorized the definitions not actually LEARNED the function of the word(s) or the true meaning of the words.
