Short Story
This is a year long process.
Step One: Character Profile (completed the 1st week of school)
Step Two: Writing of Exposition of Short Story (brought in a picture as influence of short story content and connection with writer/student)
Step Three: Revising Exposition (analyzed structure of the short story w/ Kurt Vonnegut's suggestions and a reflection of the writing style of William Golding's exposition in Lord of the Flies.)

Expository Essay
This essay is an opinion based essay. The student is not supposed to persuade only state an opinion about a topic.
Persuasive Essay
The student is to choose a side of an argument and provide a clear thesis statement of the writer's opinion. The student is to persuade the reader to think as the writer thinks.
